Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Our team is trained in the most advanced wound healing techniques including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). HBOT is a treatment in which the patient breathes 100% oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The treatment quickly delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream, assists in the healing process of wounds and is effective in fighting certain types of infections. It also stimulates the growth of new blood vessels and improves circulation.
Our hyperbaric chambers are transparent, offering patients complete visibility, freedom of movement and the ability to easily communicate with our team of care-providers. Patients can rest comfortably or watch television while receiving treatment.

The Advanced Wound Care Center at Milford Hospital is conveniently located in the hospital's main campus. Patients have easy access and free parking via our Bridgeport Avenue entrance. Our helpful and supportive staff will schedule appointments and give you all the information you need to care for your wound between visits. Treatment is covered by most insurance plans.
